Pita Magic

I call pita "magic" because I'm surprised at how much my kids loved building a pizza from a pita, then how much they loved how a pita pizza tastes.  Plus it's so easy and cheap to make!

First buy pita bread, hehe, buy pizza sauce, marinara, pesto, vinaigrette, salsa or another sauce you may like to use, then your favorite toppings (cheese, vegan cheese and veggies are our staples).

Preheat your oven to 400 degrees, then assemble pizzas and place about 3 assembled pizzas on a parchment paper lined cookie sheet.  Bake for about 10 minutes or until the cheese or veggies are at your preferred goldeness (I know, it's not a word).  Let cool a bit, so you don't burn your mouth, then ENJOY.

We made these for my 9 year old daughter's birthday party and all of the girls loved them and it was a very cheap meal for 9 hungry girls.

One of my favorite tricks!

Amber here. I just wanted to post one of my favorite tips. I have an almost teenage son, so I remember when the yogurt company's came up with their convient yogurt tubes. My son was an only child until he was 3, so a big box of yogurt tubes expired before he could finish it. That's when I got my bright idea! FREEZE THEM!!!

Not only did they last longer, but we also found that they make for a yummy frozen dessert! As I had more kids, I found out that I could put the frozen yogurt tube in their lunch bag and by the time they ate, it was thawed out a little, if not all the way, but still very cold, so it's perfect!

I hope this helps and you enjoy!
